Funday Friday Baking 

Te Ara Tupu year 1 learners LOVE baking!

All year we have spent many Fridays creating delicious treats in the kitchen with the help of our amazing parents.

We have had to use our reading and comprehension skills to follow the recipes, as well as our maths learning to measure out the ingredients, set the oven temperatures and keep track of cooking times.

Our Key Competencies have also been a major focus throughout our 'Funday Friday' baking sessions, these include: Managing Self, Thinking, Participating and Contributing, Using Language Symbols and Text, and Relating to Others.
